Mandy’s Monthly Blog – January

Happy New Year!
Hello everyone!  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and an even better New Year!

The Pittman’s have been as busy as ever even though we are not racing.  We visited my family in Memphis for Thanksgiving and had a great time.  Taylor enjoys visiting with her Grandma, Mimi & Poppy and both Nannies!    We then had the IMIS show in Indy and left for Disneyland the next day.  We met Daryn’s family in Disneyland for their annual family vacation.  Fun times for sure except that the Cars ride broke with us one it so we did not get to ride it…bummer!

Daryn & I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on December 18th.  Although we were both sick so we had PBJ and chicken noodle soup…big night huh!

Anyway, Christmas was great and Santa brought Taylor way too many things!  We have enjoyed the last couple weeks at home and had a quiet Christmas dinner with friends.  It was the first time I made Christmas dinner…and it was good and no one got sick! J  (Daryn did fry the turkey and it was very good)

Daryn, Sharpley, and McLovin have the midget ready for Chili Bowl of which starts next Monday…hard to believe that an event you wait for all year is right around the corner.  If you are going stop by the Bob Hurley Ford #21 and say hello!   After Chili Bowl Daryn & I will be leaving for Australia.  Daryn will race Sydney, Avalon, Mt Gambier and “The Classic.”   It will be my first time back in 4 years and I am looking forward to it.

After we return to the USA we will pack and head straight to Florida for the WOO season to begin!  We are both so excited to start the year with KKR!   Exciting times ahead!  Hope we see all our fans throughout the season at all the tracks we have missed the last few years!
