We are headed that way as fast as we can get there – I have not been home since the last monthly. We will be home for 2 days – yahoo! Then it’s off to La Salle, IL to race the Todd Hepfner – Hepfner Racing Products car for the WOO shows in IL and WI. READ MORE
KEYSTONE CUP PRESENTATION FRIDAY AT WILLIAMS GROVE - Record-breakers/Career Firsts for Pittman and Heffner Racing
Hellertown, PA…(June 3, 2010)--Daryn Pittman will be officially announced the 2010 Keystone Cup Series Champion on Friday, June 4, 2010, at Williams Grove Speedway, prior to the start of that evening’s 410 sprint car racing program. READ MORE
OH - What a Week!! Keystone Cup Champion!
At the beginning of the week, Daryn Pittman made a goal to win three races and the car owner, Mike Heffner, really wanted to take the title of Keystone Cup Champion home. After dominating the week the team fulfilled both goals – 3 wins and the Keystone Cup winner.
The first night, at Grandview Speedway, saw the team roll out with a quick time award and a 4th place finish in the heat race. The Heffner Racing #27 lined up 7th in the A main and battled back and forth the entire race concluding the 30 lapper in 5th place. “Grandview was a great start, but a little disappointing in the A main. I just could not get going,” stated Daryn. READ MORE

Mandy’s Monthly!- June
Well, if you have not heard we are the 2010 Keystone Cup Champion!!! YAHOO!!
We have been on the road this entire month in the motorhome in PA with Taylor. It’s back to laundry mats and lunch on the go! I would not trade it for the world! Taylor absolutely loves racing! It is so funny to watch her at the race track. She hears the sprint cars and wants to watch. She waves that little hand and mumbles her own little language. She yells “Da! Da!” it is so funny. It is so nice in PA where a majority of the race tracks have a grassy infield for spectators and their families. She eats hot dogs like they are steak, plays ball, runs around, and hangs out with her new friend Grayson Buckwalter. I am usually worn out at the end of the night. I bought Taylor her first sprint car at Lincoln the other night and she loves it. It is a pull back cheapie one but she carries it everywhere. It is number # 88 – we tell her it is Poppy’s car. She is definitely non-stop now days – it is great!. READ MORE

Eldora Recap
This past weekend the Tom Buch #13 owned sprinter turned in an impressive performance with new driver Daryn Pittman behind the wheel. In the team’s first night out racing with the World of Outlaws at Eldora Speedway Daryn turned in a 20th place finish after a rain shortened “A” main event. The team then reviewed their notes and began Saturday night with the World of Outlaws by timing in 14th out of 33 cars. This time trail effort gave the team a front row starting spot for the heat race. In heat race action Daryn jumped out to the lead and never looked back. The Indy Race Parts #13 started 8th in the dash and quickly moved to the sixth position which lined the team up in the third row of the “A” main event. The track was in excellent condition and lead to a great race with several drivers exchanging positions for the top spot. Daryn moved in the fourth position and was gaining on the leaders when the yellow flag flew. With the World of Outlaws new rules of double file restarts Daryn would start on the inside of row two. Daryn was held up by the pole car and both Kinser and Schatz passed him with 3 laps to go. Daryn would finish the 30 lap event in the sixth position. READ MORE

I know it’s amazing that my blog is actually on time for once. Me and Daryn and Angel (the dog) are driving home as we speak …in the rain! We had a weekend away in PA as Nana watched Taylor for the weekend.
Daryn drove the Lelands.com Mike Heffner owned #27 sprinter. We both had a great time – thanks guys!! Daryn was in charge of the race set up and got out of the car most of the time smiling! Our pill draw pretty much dictated our whole night, but the car went forward both nights. Daryn was comfortable from the get go and although 11th and 12th place were not what we were shooting for he felt he learned a lot this weekend. READ MORE

Mandy’s Monthly!- April
Hello everyone! I am so happy that spring is finally here! It is so nice to be able to go outside with Taylor! Since we last spoke the Keen boys headed out for the western swing with the WOO. The results were ok …not great not bad just ok! Taylor and I took our first plane ride together to go see Daryn race in Texas. She did great! She did not cry a bit on the plane and did fine. I was worried about her ears for nothing….I should have known since she is a natural born traveler! It was nice to be back at the races. Her Nana watched her each night so she did not go outside too much as it was chilly. Although at Houston we parked the motorhome by the fence and you could see the whole track so she did get to watch her daddy race.
After the TX races we had Taylor’s first birthday party. Plenty of family came in for the big event. We went to Chucky Cheese for lunch and had her party at the house that evening. She loved Chucky from about 5 feet away but not at all up close! Her party went great! She got a ton of gifts and wanted to play with each one the moment she opened it. She dug into her birthday cake, but once she got her hands sticky with icing …she was done. (Just like her dad!! Mr.Clean!) READ MORE

Pittman Pumped for the Ironman Tour!
Daryn Pittman raced the most winged sprint car races of any driver in 2009, and he hopes to do the same in 2010. “Our schedule is not finalized yet but it looks like we will race about the same number of events with the Keen Motorsports #17, including about 14 more World of Outlaw shows than last year. It looks like we will be doing a hit and miss schedule racing all over the country and hitting the bigger paying events. I think I raced about 109 times last year and this year I would like it to be the same but with one change: more wins!” said Pittman. The “Ironman Tour” is what the schedule for the Peterbilt team is being nicknamed. Criss crossing the country to over 15 states from January through to November and hitting the race track over 100 times is truly an “Ironman Tour.” The Keen team will begin their season in Florida this weekend and be racing almost every weekend from now until November. Happy New Year Everyone!
One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to do a better job on my monthly blogs. Sorry!
The off season has been really busy! Daryn and I went on vacation to Hawaii with a few friends and had a blast although I did miss my baby, but I know that my parents enjoyed spending that time with her. My parents live in Memphis, TN and Daryn’s parents live in Tulsa, OK therefore, we travel even when race season is over! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Memphis then drove to Tulsa then home! After we returned home; and it was full throttle working on the midget for the Kansas City “Twas the Night Before the Midgets” We headed out in the motorhome with Taylor, Dave Sharpley (our crew chief), and Dave Nesbit (tire specialist!!) The race was fun, but the track is so tiny I think I could outrun the midgets in the corners!! One car would stall in the corner and five would pile up behind them! Anyway it was fun and gives DP more time behind the wheel before Chili Bowl. READ MORE

Daryn Pittman Returns for the Bull Ring Midget Nationals
By Bob Jones
December 10, 2009

Daryn Pittman is gearing up for a return to indoor midget racing for the Bull Ring Midget Nationals on December 18-19th at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, MO. After logging in 96 nights of racing already in 2009, Pittman is ready to get back into action. “I definitely had a busy year, but I really didn’t realize how much we had raced until I heard that number. In my opinion, the more you race the better. Especially when you are enjoying it,” he said.
Pittman is known as a winged guy, but he doesn’t pass up the chance to dice it up behind the wheel of a dirt midget. “I have a lot of fun racing midgets. I love it. They are fun to drive and I only get to race them a couple times a year. There are no points to worry about, so for me this is all about having some fun before the season starts,” said Pittman.READ MORE

Keen Motorsports & Daryn Pittman Season Wrap Up!
With the 2009 racing season coming to an end and the holidays fast approaching the Keen Motorsports Team and Daryn Pittman have a lot to be thankful for: a safe and successful season. Since joining the #17 Peterbilt team at the end of May; driver, Daryn Pittman has 58 starts, 4 wins, 18 top 5’s, and 36 top ten’s.
“Since joining the Keen Team I feel that we have built a strong team. I think it took a little while for the team to gel and find what works for us as a team. Since switching to the Maxim Chassis I feel our results have been more consistent,” stated Daryn after reflecting on the season. READ MORE

Hello Everyone! Happy Fall! It seems to be that this global warming stuff is a bunch of bull. It is already colder in Indiana than normal so it looks like we are in for a long winter!! I miss summer already!
Daryn and the #17 team have been rained out 7 times in the month of October! That is a lot considering the schedule was back to weekends only. Other than raining out the team has not really even raced enough to discuss the results and my only comment for the Grove race “opinions are like ….buttholes everyone has one!” READ MORE

Mandy’s Monthly!- September
I looked back the other day and realized that again Mandy’s Monthly is really a month and a half- sorry! Well, it is that time of year where racing begins to slow down with only weekend shows, but it still seems non stop for us. The Nationals was a great time for all involved except the racing which was very disappointing. It is so nice to spend a week with family and friends!
After Kville we headed home to begin wrapping up the Titan shop. We sold most of the things the week before Kville to Matt from Victory Lane in Australia. We do still have the truck and trailer along with 2 Don Ott engines for sale if you know of anyone in the market!! J We finally locked the doors this past week and moved all the extra stuff to storage. Thanks to the Sharpleys, McLovin, and everyone else that threw in a helping hand to move all those things! Winner’s Circle x 2!!
To say that Keen Motorsports and driver Daryn Pittman have been disappointed with their 2009 campaign would be putting it mildly. The team has had some success, but their inconsistency has been a thorn in their sides most of the season, but all that is beginning to change. With only a few months left in the season the Keen Team made the change to a Maxim chassis this past week, and the first night out put it in victory lane not once but TWICE!
The crew drove to Springfield, IL this past week and picked up the new weapon and spent countless hours this week building the new car. “The guys have put in alot of time and effort this year building and rebuilding cars to find something that worked for us, but I feel that this new chassis and our new Penske shocks are the answers we have been looking for,” stated driver Daryn Pittman while standing in victory lane at Williams Grove Speedway this past Friday night for the Triple 20’s. New Business Opportunities!
Pittman Motorsports has purchased all of the assets of Titan Racing USA effective immediately. Daryn & Mandy are immediately selling the Don Ott Engines and truck and trailer. “First off I am happy to be driving for Jesse Keen in the #17. I bought all of Titan’s inventory to resale only. I have no intention of running my own team. As strange as all of this is Reeve and I ended our relationship on good terms and when he contacted me to help sell the items; a business opportunity presented itself that I could not pass up. For fans and drivers the closing of Titan is sad for the world of sprint car racing. You never want to see the sport lose a team and owner, and we feel bad for Brooke and the timing of the situation. We wish Brooke good luck and hope he finds a successful ride soon. Mandy & I originally started Titan with Reeve and we will now be responsible for sadly closing its doors. Reeve fielded one of the most professional sprint car teams for 5 solid years and won some of the most prestigious races in the sprint car history: Gold Cup, King’s Royal, and the Summer Nationals twice. I thank him for the opportunity of driving his car and now this business deal” stated Daryn. Pittman Motorsports will have a complete list of inventory for sale by the Knoxville Nationals. It will be listed on our website and that list will include all items the teams used including cars, parts, equipment, and anything in the trailer and shop. If you are interested in the following items please email darynpittman@yahoo.com and leave your contact information and we will call you back or call Daryn at 918-760-1580. READ MORE
Mandy’s Monthly!- July
Hello! It is been a crazy month! I feel like we have not stopped since the beginning of June. We are truly enjoying ourselves with our new team. Taylor really likes to go to the shop and sleep in her seat while it sits on a Hoosier tire. She can be cranky in the motorhome and I can walk in the shop and she is fine. She likes the lights and color around the place. She also enjoys napping in there! She has about 4 uncles that watch her all the time! Pickles and her talk to each other often and seem to really get along well! She is so much more alert these days and has recognized that she has a voice and she uses it. I wonder who she gets that from….her mom! READ MORE
Keen Team Celebrates In Victory Lane!
Despite having several top ten finishes the last couple of weeks the Keen team was not satisfied until Friday night at the Williams Grove Mitch Smith Memorial when standing in victory lane! “I just have to thank Jesse and Lorraine Keen for the opportunity to drive this car. They have been so good to me and my family. Jesse has given us everything we have asked for and more and I am happy to put him in victory lane” stated Pittman after the win.
Pittman qualified in the third position after turning a good lap on the slick track in the Keen Motorsports #17. In the heat race the Keen team lined up in the sixth position. Pittman raced his way into the fifth and final transfer spot with 5 laps remaining. The invert for the feature would be a six lining the #17 up in the third position. Daryn quickly raced into the second position by using the high line to pass several cars despite falling back on the initial start. The Peterbilt #17 tracked the leader down quickly on the back stretch as Kemenah pulled to the infield with mechanical woes Pittman inherited the lead. “I felt like before the #35 pulled in we were tracking him down in a hurry. The car was very good in the feature I could really go anywhere on the track and felt fast. Matt, Pickles, and Jonesy have worked so hard the last few weeks and it feels great to give something back for their hard work,” stated Pittman. ….READ MORE
Roller Coaster Ride for All Star Action in PA
With a new driver and crew chief working together the Keen Motorsports team ended their weekend on a good note. Despite having a rough start to the weekend Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway the team now feels they are on the right track to success.
Friday night saw the team struggle with their qualifying efforts timing in a disappointing 25th position. The nightmare continued as the team finished 7th in the heat and 5th in the B main. “When you qualify that bad and put yourself in a huge hole at the beginning of the night it is hard to regain your momentum,” said Pittman after the race Friday night. “We feel really bad that we were not competitive tonight and even though the track was fairly wet and hard to pass we still need to be a lot better,” said Daryn. ….READ MORE
After only one weekend under their belts together Keen Motorsports and Daryn Pittman packed their bags and headed southwest to the World of Outlaw races in Lawrenceburg, IN this past weekend. The team wanted test their abilities with the best traveling series in the business. The outcome was positive, but left room for improvement.
Friday night saw the #17 time in the 13th position out of 33 cars present. Daryn lead the way in the heat race and was never threatened by another car. The heat race win allowed the Keen Motorsports team to be in the draw for the dash. The JEI chassis team started 7th in the dash and finished 9th, meaning the #17 would line up inside row five for the feature. Despite a strong run early in the feature the team ended the night in 13th position. "I feel that we were not that good in the feature, but that we learned alot from changes we made after the heat and will build upon those," stated Daryn after Friday nights action.. ….READ MORE
When two powerful forces combine the opportunities for success begin to grow. Keen Motorsports has teamed up with Daryn Pittman as their driver for the remainder of the season. “I am thrilled to be a part of Keen Motorsports. I feel this team has the potential to be the best team in PA and I hope that I can help them become a threat to win each night. I would like to thank Jesse and Keen Motorsports for this amazing opportunity,” stated Pittman. The team is already gearing up for the competition and plans to begin racing this weekend at Williams Grove Speedway with a full schedule to be announced soon.
Keen Motorsports crew chief Matt Anderson and Daryn Pittman are looking forward to working with each other. “I have known Matt for several years but have never had the opportunity to work with him. I feel like we will make a really strong team,” stated Pittman. One common success story for both Pittman & Anderson is that each has a Historical Big One win at the famed Eldora Speedway. . ….READ MORE

Thanks for the hard work Brian, Jerry, Will, Kevin, and everyone that has helped us since February. The team tasted victory at Grandview last week and Baby Taylor had her first victory lane picture made! Well, I wanted to let everyone know that unfortunately Daryn & myself have been released from Titan Racing. We are very thankful for the opportunity that Titan & Reeve Kruck have given us the last few years. Although, we know that our 2008 results were not up to par and our Australian trip was an utter disaster we were both shocked to receive this information once we returned home on Tuesday. We are at a loss for words really and very disappointed. We were excited to start a new year with a strong team and a new dedicated crew. Thanks Glenno, Eric, & McLovin for your hard work the past 6 months. While everything does happen for a reason, we are stunned to be without a ride 2 weeks before we were suppose to leave for Florida and with a baby on the way (she will be here in less than 10 weeks!) it is a little overwhelming. Anyway, thanks to our loyal supporters and those that believe in Daryn. We are currently looking for any type of 360 or 410 ride. If you know anyone interested please email darynpittman@yahoo.com .
Hopefully, the next monthly will be better news!

Daryn Pittman is Prepared for First Annual “T’was the Midgets Before Christmas”
December 16, 2008
By Bob Jones
Daryn Pittman has completed the final preparations to field a dirt midget for the upcoming “T’was the Midgets Before Christmas” at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, MO on December 19-20. As the World of Outlaws schedule came to a close in early November, Pittman’s off-season consisted of seven weeks. That may seem like a lot of time, but it goes by very quickly when building cars for the 2009 WoO season. “Besides making a trip to Memphis for Thanksgiving, we’ve been in the shop everyday getting things ready for next year. There is a ton of work to be done to get ready so we have to take advantage of the time we have,” he said.!.READ MORE

2008 World of Outlaws Season Review: Daryn Pittman
Concord, NC— November 26, 2008—Daryn Pittman and his team encountered more than their fair share of bad luck in 2008, but they kept working hard and finally good fortune shined upon them in July, as they hit their stride and rattled off five wins in a four week period, including a triumph in one of sprint racing’s biggest events.
Pittman won four times with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series during that stretch, including the $50,000 Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. It was his second career big win at the famed half-mile, as he was a past winner of the former Historic Big One at Eldora..READ MORE

After a couple of days at home the boys loaded up and headed west to NM and then onto CA. They did enjoy a couple of days in Vegas, but I am sure leaving with empty pockets was not much fun! Daryn Pittman Gains Momentum Heading Into Knoxville
August 5, 2008
By Bob Jones
Racing is a demanding sport. Over the course of a season a racing team experiences highs and lows, ups and downs, and a roller coaster ride of emotions. Heading into what is commonly known as “The Month of Money”, Daryn Pittman’s 2008 racing season on the Advanced Auto Parts World of Outlaws Tour certainly hadn’t been what any of the Titan Racing USA Team had hoped for. The team found themselves sitting 11th in points and despite some solid runs, had yet to crack into the winner’s circle. That would all change at Eldora Speedway for the 25th running of the Kings Royal.
“We’ve just had some really bad luck this year. We’ve been in position to win a couple times when circumstances happen that take us out of the race. But I’m a firm believer that you make your own luck out here racing with the Outlaws. All it takes is one race to turn your season around. And that is exactly what happened at Eldora,” said Pittman. “We were to the point that we just needed to win a race…any race, but for it to happen at one of the big ones is just an added bonus. Sure it pays good, but to know my name is up there with some of the great ones to have won that race is a real honor. That is something they can’t take away from us,” said “King Daryn the 25th”..READ MORE

He has had a number of strong runs cut short by bad luck, but that all changed on Sunday night as a fast race car and a little good fortune found him, as he was victorious in the 25th Annual Kings Royal at the famed Eldora Speedway in Ohio, with the cameras from SPEED capturing all of the action.
Pittman inherited the lead on the 28th lap after Joey Saldana who was leading came to a stop after making contact with the back straightaway wall due to a flat right rear tire. Pittman would lead on the restart and held off Jason Meyers on the last lap in traffic to pick up his first Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series win of the season. It was his third career win at Eldora Speedway, and he became the 14th winner of the famed Kings Royal and the fifth different winner in the last five years, as he donned the traditional purple robe, received the crown and held the scepter as he sat atop the throne with the Kings Court. The $50,000 triumph was his 26th career World of Outlaws win, which moved him into 15th on the all-time list...READ MORE
Daryn Pittman and Titan Racing, USA Announce A New Knoxville Nationals Paint Scheme
By Bob Jones
July 10, 2008
Daryn Pittman and Titan Racing, USA are pleased to announce an exciting new look for the Titan 21 for the 48th Annual Knoxville Nationals. In recent years on the World of Outlaws tour the Titan 21 is known for its gloss black paint and neon Titan Carports & Garages logo, but Pittman and car owner Reeve Kruck have decided it is time for something special.
“The Knoxville Nationals is the biggest event in sprint car racing and we wanted to do something a little different this year. We had a fan poll on our website to see if race fans wanted to see a special paint scheme and the response was overwhelmingly in favor of us putting something together for a Knoxville Nationals car. I think the fans will be shocked when they see it because it is so different from what the Titan car is known for,” said Pittman.
As part of the Knoxville Nationals tradition, the media members vote on the best appearing car and crew. “We hope to be in the running for the awards, but really this is something we did for the fans. It creates excitement and people really respond to the new colors and designs. It just adds to the “buzz” that surrounds the Nationals week,” said Pittman.READ MORE
A Win to Remember: Daryn Pittman Looks for Success in Follow Up to Emotional Victory Last Season at Riverside International Speedway
West Memphis, AR— July 4, 2008— Daryn Pittman is usually one of the most calm, cool and collected drivers in the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series pit area, but he could not help but getting emotional after winning at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas with the series last season.
Not only was it the series first visit to the always racy ¼-mile in over 25 years and his first career win at the track, but he was victorious with a large contingent of family and friends in attendance, including his wife Mandy’s stepfather who was battling cancer at the time.. READ MORE
Mandy’s Monthly!- JUNE
Well, I know long time and no updates! Sorry! Since the last time I checked in our results have been nothing to write home about so I will leave the racing results on that note.
On the other hand, we have been logging some serious mileage the last few weeks. From home to PA to NC to IA to SD to NE. As I write we are in a Wal Mart parking lot in Lincoln, NE waiting to head to Dodge City on Wednesday.
We have been doing a little sightseeing on our adventures. We went to the Hershey Museum while in Carlisle and bought quite a bit of chocolate. The smell of that place was great!
Then on our way to Attica we stopped by Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. I am not that much of a roller coaster person, but Daryn is! He rode everything in the park including the Top Thrill Dragster which was his favorite. Glenno and I enjoyed watching and waiting. The ride shoots straight up at 120 mph and then heads straight back down. The look on everyone’s face as they wait for “take off” is priceless. Daryn actually made me go on the Millenium Coaster, and after almost chickening out as we loaded on I loved it. It was the smoothest coaster I have ever been on. I like the coasters once I am on them, but the getting on and getting strapped in makes me claustrophobic so I usually chicken out. We had a blast and it was a nice day off for all of us. READ MORE
Attica
Hello Everyone! Daryn was taken to the hospital last night after getting upside down in heat 2 and landing on all four wheels really hard. There were no fractures or compression of the spine. He is still in a little pain today, but plans on racing tonight at Eldora.
THANKS to everyone for thinking about us!
Virginia Motor Speedway...Turning things around!
What a beautiful facility! After timing in a disappointing 14th quick out of 23 cars, Daryn made up for it in heat three. Starting from the 5th position Pittman raced in second with 2 laps remaining securing him a spot in the Crane Cams Dash. After the pill draw, which Daryn drew a 2, he raced to the early lead and never looked back claiming the dash win. In the
25 lap main event Jason Meyers got a good start and surged ahead with Daryn following closely in the second position. On lap 17 Meyers bobbled and Daryn to the front, but the lead was short lived as Meyers passed him back on the next lap. Lapped traffic paired the pair nose to tail at the end of the race, but Meyers prevailed and Pittman took home a close second.
"Hopefully this is just a start to the turn around for our season. We have been struggling this year and having anything that could go wrong..go wrong. With a second place under our belt hopefully we can keep the momentum going," said Daryn after the feature.
Next up: Monday, Rolling Wheels Speedway in Elbridge, NY
Checking in from Charlotte...
It was amazing to see the sun all day long, and actually have a race without a chance of rain. The Titan machine timed in 3rd quick in the 27 car field.
After starting fourth in heat three Pittman finished 3rd, qualifying the Titan Machine for the dash. In the Dash the misery began...entering turn one on lap one the car just stopped. The trouble ended up being a broken heim on the throttle linkage. An easy fix for the crew but the DNF made the team start 10th in the A main. After getting a great start in the A main Daryn came to stop on lap 4 with a broken rear end.
After surveying the damage the crew found a broken rear end, broken drive line, and the crank in the motor was broken...needless to say an expensive night for the team. Hopefully everyone watched us LIVE on SPEED!
Next up a 4 1/2 hour drive to Virginia Motor Speedway and hopefully better luck soon!!
Pittman Looks for First Win at Lernerville in First Commonwealth Bank Clash
Sarver, PA— May 12, 2008— Daryn Pittman has visited the winner’s circle at some of the most famed tracks in all of sprint car racing during his career, including: Eldora Speedway, Manzanita Speedway, Silver Dollar Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway. One track that is missing from that list is Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. He has come close on a number of occasions to winning at the high-banked four-tenths mile which has hosted the Advance Auto Parts World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series each and every season since 1979.READ MORE
CLEAN SWEEP
Hello from somewhere in the middle of Missouri at 3:00am! With the WOO rained out at Granite City Team Titan headed to the IRA race in Burlingto, IA at 34 Raceway. What a beautiful facility and the track was awesome. It was some of the best racing I have seen all year. It helped that the Titan Team made a clean sweep! Daryn set a new track record in qualifying at a 12.4. This high banked 3/8th track made for great heat races. Daryn started heat 1 is sixth and made the winning pass on the white flag lap. We started the feature in the 8th position after drawing the 4 inversion. The feature was a great race to watch with 3 grooves! Daryn made the pass for the lead on lap 22 using a low side move on Lasoski. After that he never looked back and made the evening a clean sweep!!!
If you are considering attending the WOO race at 34 Raceway in July you should definitly go! The racing was unbelievable and had the crowd on their feet!
Mandy’s Monthly!- April
Well, it seems that I have jinxed us on the rain so I am not going to say anything bad except…I wish it would stop! :) We have raced only 5 times in the month of April! We have had 6 WOO races and now 9 rainouts!
Everyone is bored! The boys continue to fly their airplanes and reorganize everything again!
We raced Pevely and ended up with a 7th place finish. The fans are awesome there and I always look forward to any Pevely races. The track was a lot different than the normal Pevely conditions, but it still ended up being a great race. We hoped to do better there, but were just a little off. READ MORE
FINALLY PITTMAN POWERS ON AT PEVELY

After some interminable delays in the WoO schedule (the weather has been far less than cooperative) Daryn Pittman and the Titan Racing USA team finally got to stand on the gas at Pevely in Missouri over the weekend.
With the weather being poor all week leading up to the event the normally racy Pevely surface was a challenge to say the least with track staff having to re-work the track after qualifying.
Daryn Pittman qualified the Titan #21 in position 7 during qualifying which gave him an outside front row start that he was able to convert to a strong heat win over renowned hard charger Tim Shaffer.READ MORE

Mandy’s Monthly!- March
Rain Rain GO AWAY and don‘t come back on race day!!
As most of you are aware a driver gets paid based off the amount of money the car makes per night. Needless to say, not much racing = not much money! Anyway, it has been the same for everyone, and we did get a few shows in during the month. We took at road trip to PA to race at Selinsgrove, Lincoln, and The Grove; but the rained followed us and we only got Lincoln in. We finished 4th, but it was great to see some of our PA fans. It was actually a really good showing with tons of cars, and the feature was a great race. READ MORE
Mandy’s Monthly!- February
Hello Everyone! I am going to “attempt” to write a monthly blog about our travels & the race team.
Please bear with me as I am new at all this. Daryn & I along with Glenno returned from Australia on January 14th. Our Australia trip was full of rain and canceled events! (A trend that would continue even in the USA) The boys worked for about 2 weeks and then we were ready to head to East Bay in Tampa for the 360 races. We left late on a Wednesday night after packing the motor home in the sleet and snow! We figured that we had better try to get out of town before getting snowed in! What we did not think about was trying to find a place to stay that was warmer so the motor home would not freeze the lines!! After 2 days we ended up in Tampa. READ MORE
EVENTFUL START TO LONG SEASON FOR PITTMAN
Daryn Pittman’s been around long enough to know one thing for certain; it’s a long season ahead despite the trials and tribulations at Florida Speedweeks, and so the team move onward after an eventful time of it over the last three nights.
The fluoro chassis is a big hit with fans and rival teams and once again the Titan Team are one of the leaders when it comes to racecar, hauler and team presentation.
The competition in Florida was typically keen with the field in qualifying being incredibly tight across the 56 cars including 24 of which being WoO cars!
A key ambition this season for Daryn and Team Titan is to qualify well and in that respect all goals were met on all three nights with stout times put in by the flying #21 jet black Maxim READ MORE

Mother Nature won the first round at Orange County Fair Speedway this season back in May when the World of Outlaws came to town, but Daryn Pittman won round two, in convincing fashion, as the series returned to the sprawling 5/8-mile track on Wednesday night to make up that event which was postponed by rain.
Pittman started on the outside of the front row and quickly took the lead from pole sitter Joey Saldana, as he went on to lead all 25 laps, en route to claiming his sixth A-Feature win of the season aboard the Titan Garages Maxim. READ MORE

They certainly found it on Sunday night, as he had the dominant car at Charter Raceway Park, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, leading all 40 laps en route to his fifth A-Feature victory of the season.
The win was his third at Charter Raceway Park, to go along with triumphs in 2003 and 2005. He is the only World of Outlaws driver that has three wins at the high-banked 1/3-mile.

Minot Magic: Pittman Wins Magic City Showdown at Nodak Speedway
Minot, ND—Aug. 14, 2007--By: Tony Veneziano, World of Outlaws PR Director
Daryn Pittman knew it would be no easy task to win at Nodak Speedway on Tuesday night in the Magic City Showdown. He knew that the man to beat was reigning World of Outlaws champion Donny Schatz, who was born and raised in Minot, and was fresh off his second consecutive Knoxville Nationals win last Saturday night. On top of that, Schatz began the night by blistering the existing track record in time trials by over three-tenths of a second.
None of that stopped Pittman, as he battled Schatz along with 20-time World of Outlaws champion Steve Kinser for the $10,000 winner’s check and after 35 hard fought laps, he came out on top to earn his fourth A-Feature win of the season and second on a 3/8-mile track.
“Any win is good,” said Pittman, driver of the Titan Garages Maxim. “This is great for this whole team. We’ve been fast, but we haven’t been giving ourselves a chance to win a race. I’m tickled to death to get this, in front of this great crowd.” READ MORE

Race Report: Pittman Powers to Volusia Victory

By Tony Veneziano, World of Outlaws PR Director
BARBERVILLE, FL — Last season Daryn Pittman patiently waited until
early June to make his first visit of the season to Victory Lane. This year,
he made sure that it would not take nearly as long, as he led wire-to-wire
on Sunday night in finale of three straight nights of racing for the World
of Outlaws as part of the 36th Annual Florida DIRTcar Nationals Presented
by Mopar Speedshop.
After winning the dash to earn the pole position for the 30-lap event,
he held off a hard charging Tim Kaeding and Donny Schatz, in heavy lapped
traffic. The pair staged a fierce battle for the second spot in the late
going as they chased Pittman, who used strong restarts twice in the late
going to pull away. The $12,000 triumph was the 20th of his career in World
of Outlaws action.
“It is a great way to get started and a great boost for the whole
team,” said Pittman, driver of the Titan Garages Maxim. “It’s
always good to get a win at the end of the week. Our team just keeps getting
better every year, and hopefully we can stay consistent and get wins when
we can.”
Starting the season off on a high note was one of Pittman’s goals
for 2007, and after the win, he is well on his way. The veteran driver was
one of the most consistent drivers over the last three months of last season.
“No matter who you are and how long you have been doing this and how
many wins you have, come June and July if you have no wins, car owners get
a little antsy,” he said. “They spend a lot of money and want
wins. Being able to always refer back to getting one early is great. We
got one now and we have some confidence, and hopefully we can go out and
get some more.”
With a cross-country trip awaiting the team, Pittman is glad that they
will have some time to go back to the shop and prepare to head to California
at their own pace. The group led by Crew Chief Glenno Inglis, who was battling
illness during the late stages of the DIRTcar Nationals, will have an enjoyable
trip back to their shop in Indiana.
“We going to go home and relax,” Pittman commented. “My
crew has worked their tails off. Every year when we come to Florida we come
down here ready for 100 races. We don’t go home to build cars. We’ll
do the maintenance on the car we ran tonight and take it to Tulare. My guys
are going to get some time off. We are ready to go. I look forward to going
home and fine tuning on a few things so we can keep getting better.”
Tim Kaeding made a late charge for the lead, as he closed the gap on
Pittman with a couple laps to go. On the final lap, he and Donny Schatz
staged an entertaining battle for the second spot, as they both were just
behind Pittman. Schatz used a slide job on Kaeding to momentarily move into
the second spot exiting the fourth turn. Kaeding immediately fought back
and claimed the runner-up spot at the line by mere inches.
“We had a little trouble with this thing taking off, and Daryn would
get ahead of us a little bit,” said Kaeding, driver of the Steve Kinser
Racing Maxim. “I knew Donny was coming eventually and he pulled off
a slider, and I did what I knew how to do and what I needed to do, and that
was turn back underneath him and get back in front of him as quick as I
could and get the air off his wing.”
For Schatz, the reigning series champion, he finished in the Top-Three
each in night of the World of Outlaw portion of the Florida DIRTcar Nationals.
He won the season opener on Friday night, and backed that up with a third-place
run on Saturday night, and was third again on Sunday, after starting the
event on the outside of the third row.
“We came here to win and we were good enough to win all three nights,” said
Schatz, driver of the Parker Store J&J. “Tonight we never really
hit lapped traffic. There were a lot of good cars out here and on an open
race track, it’s hard to pass. We moved around and tried everything
we could. We’re going to head back and do a little work, and hopefully
be as good in California as we were here.”
Terry McCarl raced his way to a fourth-place finish after lining up eight.
The native of Altoona, Iowa finished ninth on Saturday night and backed
that up with a very solid run on Sunday night, as he prepares to head to
Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., where he won in 2004.
“We started the week off doing well with the All Stars, and then kind
of hiccupped a little the first two nights (of the World of Outlaws season),” said
McCarl, driver of the Big Game Treestands Eagle. “We need to keep
getting in the Top-Five this year. It’s going to be pretty brutal
this year, so every one of these Top-Five’s is important. “
Tim Shaffer picked up his first Top-Five of the season on Sunday as he
came home fifth in the Casey’s General Stores Maxim.
The rest of the Top-10 was: Danny Lasoski in the Roth Motorsports Eagle
in sixth, Jason Sides in the WTS Maxim in seventh, Joey Saldana charged
from the 24th starting spot in the Open Joist JEI to finish eighth, with
Saturday night’s winner Kerry Madsen in the Selma Shell Maxim in ninth,
and Fred Rahmer in the C&S Lawn & Landscape J&J in 10th.
With Pittman’s victory, the sprint car portion of the Florida DIRTcar
Nationals came to a close, with Craig Dollansky named the Champion. The
native of Elk River, Minn., finished sixth or better in five of the six
events, including two second-place finishes and two fourths. Brad Sweet,
a native of Grass Valley, Calif, was named the Rookie of the Year for the
sprint car portion of the Florida DIRTcar Nationals.
The World of Outlaws return to action on February 23-24 at Thunderbowl
Raceway in Tulare, California.
2007 World of Outlaws Preview: Daryn PIttman
Author: Tony Veneziano - World Of Outlaws PR Director
Daryn Pittman is one of the most focused racers in the
world. He is determined to win every time he hits the track. That intensity
and drive is what has made him so successful over the years with the
World of Outlaws. One of the friendliest drivers off the track, he
is also one of the most fierce when he puts the helmet on and straps
into the cockpit.
Over the course of last season, which stretched from early February
until late October, he racked up an impressive 43 Top-10 finishes.
Pittman won five A-Feature events as well as two preliminary features.
He also turned the quickest lap in time trials, three times. In addition
to this, he was tied for the series lead with eight dash wins, which
earned him seven pole positions. He led 287 laps on the year, second
only to series champion Donny Schatz. When the final points were tallied
up, Pittman matched his career best finish of fourth.
Never resting on his laurels, the veteran driver is ready to begin
the 2007 season, and continue to carry this momentum that he built
throughout last season. His quest will begin with the 36th Annual DIRTcar
Nationals Presented by Mopar Speedshop at Volusia Speedway Park in
Barberville, Florida, February 9-11.
In between two trips to Australia to compete during the off-season,
which saw him score a win in the Kings Challenge at Borderline Raceway,
Pittman and his team have been busy in the shop making sure all the
pieces of the puzzle are in place so that when they hit the road for
the season, they are fully prepared. He is confident that every last
nut and bolt has been tightened and that they have accomplished everything
they had on their off-season “to-do” list.
“The time has gone by pretty fast,” said Pittman, who has
19 career World of Outlaws A-Feature wins. “It is winding down
quick, but we work all year on racing and come about August we start
preparing stuff for the next year. We’re in great shape and everyone
at the shop has done a great job getting the cars built. We’re
definitely ready to go to Volusia and get started. With the increase
in races, that’s more cars that you have to have ready, and more
motors you have to have ready. It’s not just more races, but
its more equipment that you have to be prepared with. We’re looking
forward to that and I think we’re up to that.”
While pleased with how well the team performed last year, Pittman is
always looking to make improvements. Setting his goals high each season,
he is looking to build on the solid foundation that his Titan Racing
team has established the last couple of years.
“We just have to be a little more consistent than last year,” he
commented. “The last two years we have finished the last three
months of the season very strong and very consistent. We just have
to figure out a way to do that all year long. In terms of accumulated
points over the last three months of 2006, we probably would have been
second in points. We just have to step it up.”
With nearly 90 races on the schedule this season, Pittman knows how
important it will be for the team to pace themselves over the long
haul. The native of Owasso, Oklahoma has finished eighth or better
in World of Outlaws championship points in each of the last four seasons,
and knows that as a driver, he cannot dwell on a bad night or two,
but has to find the positives from each race and move on to the next
one.
“We have to come out of the gate at Volusia and be good, and
have a Top-Five car all year,” he explained. “We have to
have our crew and motors and cars working good from February to November.
That’s the big key. We know how to do it in short periods. We
just have to figure out how to do it for nine or ten months.”
After seeing an average car count of 41 machines per event last season,
the always affable driver knows that the competition will be just as
tough this year, especially beginning with the three straight nights
of racing at the DIRTcar Nationals. A record number of nearly 30 drivers
plan to start the season full-time with the World of Outlaws. Also
at Volusia, expect a strong contingent from the O’Reilly All
Star Circuit of Champions, as well as the always tough drivers from
Pennsylvania.
“Last year was a very competitive season,” Pittman said. “A
lot of young guys were able to get out on the road and were tough to
beat by the end of the year. A lot of those guys that are coming back
are going to be even better. It quite possibly could be as competitive
as last season. It’s tough every year, to win an Outlaws show.
I don’t think it will be an easier to win races. It will be tougher
to be consistently in the Top-10. It’s going to be really tough
this year.”
Pittman, who was the 1998 Knoxville Nationals Rookie of the Year, gladly
welcomes the expanded schedule this season that awaits him and his
fellow drivers. They will compete nearly 90 times from coast-to-coast,
as well as making three trips north of the border to Canada.
“The more (races) the better for us, especially as a driver,” he
shared. “It keeps us busy. I feel like we are a better race team
the more we race. The heavier we get into racing, the better I believe
our team shines. I’m definitely looking forward to that, as well
as going back to a few places we skipped out on last year.”
One of the most important pieces of the puzzle for any team is the
crew, and Pittman believes he has one of the strongest and most well
prepared in the business. They helped guide him to a $20,000 victory
in the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway last July, as well
as a $50,000 triumph in the Gold Cup Race of Champions at Silver Dollar
(Calif.) Speedway in September.
“No changes here at all,” beamed Pittman. “Glenno
(Inglis) and Bingo (Jenkins) will both be back on the road. It’s
a good solid core group of guys that have been with me for about three
or four years. That’s a big part of our race team, the people
that we have working for us. I’m glad to keep having the same
good guys around.”
After matching his career best finish in points last season and picking
up the seven overall wins, including weekend sweeps at Eagle (Neb.)
Raceway and Princeton (Minn.) Speedway, Pittman has one thing on his
mind entering this season.
“Hands down the goal for the season is the championship,” he
said. “That is what everyone works their tails off for, and dreams
of. We don’t for one second think that we are not capable of
doing it. That’s our main goal and we just have to go out and
prove it. We know it will be tough and it’s a tough task. We
have to go out and win races. The main goal is the championship, and
my second goal is that we have a good Knoxville Nationals.”
