OH - What a Week!! Keystone Cup Champion!
At the beginning of the week, Daryn Pittman made a goal to win three races and the car owner, Mike Heffner, really wanted to take the title of Keystone Cup Champion home. After dominating the week the team fulfilled both goals – 3 wins and the Keystone Cup winner.
The first night, at Grandview Speedway, saw the team roll out with a quick time award and a 4th place finish in the heat race. The Heffner Racing #27 lined up 7th in the A main and battled back and forth the entire race concluding the 30 lapper in 5th place. “Grandview was a great start, but a little disappointing in the A main. I just could not get going,” stated Daryn. READ MORE

Mandy’s Monthly!- June
Well, if you have not heard we are the 2010 Keystone Cup Champion!!! YAHOO!!
We have been on the road this entire month in the motorhome in PA with Taylor. It’s back to laundry mats and lunch on the go! I would not trade it for the world! Taylor absolutely loves racing! It is so funny to watch her at the race track. She hears the sprint cars and wants to watch. She waves that little hand and mumbles her own little language. She yells “Da! Da!” it is so funny. It is so nice in PA where a majority of the race tracks have a grassy infield for spectators and their families. She eats hot dogs like they are steak, plays ball, runs around, and hangs out with her new friend Grayson Buckwalter. I am usually worn out at the end of the night. I bought Taylor her first sprint car at Lincoln the other night and she loves it. It is a pull back cheapie one but she carries it everywhere. It is number # 88 – we tell her it is Poppy’s car. She is definitely non-stop now days – it is great!. READ MORE

Eldora Recap
This past weekend the Tom Buch #13 owned sprinter turned in an impressive performance with new driver Daryn Pittman behind the wheel. In the team’s first night out racing with the World of Outlaws at Eldora Speedway Daryn turned in a 20th place finish after a rain shortened “A” main event. The team then reviewed their notes and began Saturday night with the World of Outlaws by timing in 14th out of 33 cars. This time trail effort gave the team a front row starting spot for the heat race. In heat race action Daryn jumped out to the lead and never looked back. The Indy Race Parts #13 started 8th in the dash and quickly moved to the sixth position which lined the team up in the third row of the “A” main event. The track was in excellent condition and lead to a great race with several drivers exchanging positions for the top spot. Daryn moved in the fourth position and was gaining on the leaders when the yellow flag flew. With the World of Outlaws new rules of double file restarts Daryn would start on the inside of row two. Daryn was held up by the pole car and both Kinser and Schatz passed him with 3 laps to go. Daryn would finish the 30 lap event in the sixth position. READ MORE

Mandy’s Monthly!- May
I know it’s amazing that my blog is actually on time for once. Me and Daryn and Angel (the dog) are driving home as we speak …in the rain! We had a weekend away in PA as Nana watched Taylor for the weekend.
Daryn drove the Lelands.com Mike Heffner owned #27 sprinter. We both had a great time – thanks guys!! Daryn was in charge of the race set up and got out of the car most of the time smiling! Our pill draw pretty much dictated our whole night, but the car went forward both nights. Daryn was comfortable from the get go and although 11th and 12th place were not what we were shooting for he felt he learned a lot this weekend. READ MORE
