Eldora Recap

This past weekend the Tom Buch #13 owned sprinter turned in an impressive performance with new driver Daryn Pittman behind the wheel. In the team’s first night out racing with the World of Outlaws at Eldora Speedway Daryn turned in a 20th place finish after a rain shortened “A” main event. The team then reviewed their notes and began Saturday night with the World of Outlaws by timing in 14th out of 33 cars. This time trail effort gave the team a front row starting spot for the heat race. In heat race action Daryn jumped out to the lead and never looked back. The Indy Race Parts #13 started 8th in the dash and quickly moved to the sixth position which lined the team up in the third row of the “A” main event. The track was in excellent condition and lead to a great race with several drivers exchanging positions for the top spot. Daryn moved in the fourth position and was gaining on the leaders when the yellow flag flew. With the World of Outlaws new rules of double file restarts Daryn would start on the inside of row two. Daryn was held up by the pole car and both Kinser and Schatz passed him with 3 laps to go. Daryn would finish the 30 lap event in the sixth position.

“I feel like it is a great start with the #13 team. I was comfortable in the car and it was very easy to drive. Me and the team made only very small adjustments for the feature event and we were one of the fastest cars on the track. The track was really racy and they did a great job preparing it since the wind was 30mph all day. I feel like we put on a great show for the fans and I am excited for next week,” stated Daryn after the race.

The Indy Race Parts Tom Buch owned team will head to Williams Grove to take on the World of Outlaws on Thursday and Friday and then head to Viriginia Motor Speedway on Saturday.
