Mandy’s Monthly!- July

Hello!  It is been a crazy month!  I feel like we have not stopped since the beginning of June.  We are truly enjoying ourselves with our new team.   Taylor really likes to go to the shop and sleep in her seat while it sits on a Hoosier tire.  She can be cranky in the motorhome and I can walk in the shop and she is fine.  She likes the lights and color around the place.  She also enjoys napping in there!  She has about 4 uncles that watch her all the time!  Pickles and her talk to each other often and seem to really get along well!    She is so much more alert these days and has recognized that she has a voice and she uses it.  I wonder who she gets that from….her mom!

Racing has been up and down, but last weekend was great!  We won the PA Speedweek show at the Grove.  It also was the biggest paying race of the week which definitely helps!  Taylor enjoyed victory lane again and keeps telling her daddy she wants to go back more often!!   In the last month we have raced 20 times with a majority of those being in the span of two weeks back to back …Ohio and PA Speed weeks.  We had some solid runs in the past month, but are still looking for top five consistency, which is coming.  The team is gelling at just the right time with plenty of big money races on the line…Brad Doty Race, King’s Royal, Don Martin Memorial, Williams Grove Summer Nationals, Port Royal Dream, Front Row Challenge, and of course the Nationals!  Man…what a dream to win the Nationals!  A win at any of these would be fantastic or a few of these would be even better!  (That is the checkbook holder coming out in me!!)  All kidding aside…. The prestige that any of these races holds by far outweighs the money that they pay!

I would like to thank the PA fans for their support.  We really appreciate the tshirt sales and I do have new ones on the way.  They have the 2008 King’s Royal Winner on them.  We travel in about 10 days to that race again…..what a joy it would be to repeat that one!   I will be at the fence again at the Grove this weekend and our tshirt trailer will be at the King’s Royal and Nationals!  Please stop by and say hello!  I miss meeting our fans from around the country!
