A talented shoe doesn’t sit idle for long and Daryn Pittman is pleased to announce he is joining Pete Postupack and the Pete’s Motorsports team for Florida Speedweek.  “I am really pleased to hook up with Pete’s Motorsports for Florida.  Pete always has good equipment and with Kevin Fry as the mechanic, I think we will make a pretty strong team,” said Pittman.  “I was in a position where I needed to find something and they were looking too.  We talked for a while about what each of us were looking for and here we are.”

Brian Boughter, team manager for Pete’s Motorsports added, “It just made sense for us.  We were looking to put a deal together for Florida and Daryn is the best driver available on the market.  The plan is to start in Florida and show what we are capable of.  Hopefully we can secure some additional funds after that to help us run the schedule we want for the rest of the year,” said Boughter.

“As of now we are leaving the plans wide open.  Ideally we’d like to run 100 shows focusing in Central PA, but running some World of Outlaws shows, the All Stars and some of the big shows like the Knoxville Nationals and the Kings Royal.  It all depends on what funding we can secure.  Based on how Florida goes, we may chase the All Star points or we may concentrate on the Williams Grove points title.  We are leaving our options open and we are very excited to have Daryn coming aboard our team,” he said.

The team will be racing nine nights in 11 days starting with three nights at Ocala Speedway on January 29-31 as part of the O’Reilly’s All Star Winter Nationals, then six straight nights at Volusia Speedway Park for the second half of the Winter Nationals February 3-5 followed with three nights of World of Outlaws action February 6-8.

“We will find out quickly what we are made of,” said Pittman.  “Everybody will be in Florida and everybody will have fresh equipment.  I’m sure that much racing with a new team right out of the box can be a little overwhelming, but if we get on a roll we could have a lot of success.  I’m excited to get to know these guys better and looking forward to seeing how we can do.  More than anything, I’m grateful for the opportunity to race with these guys and build on something for us to race together for the rest of the year,” said Pittman.

Pete’s Motorsports will be utilizing Rider Racing Engines and Maxim Chassis.  Sponsors on the Pete’s Motorsports No. 25 include Pete’s Bridge Street Motors, Emory Transmission, Rock-it Pizza & Subs, Orkin Pest Control, Harrisburg Auto Auction, Jakes Carts, H&H Lighting and ABC Klean Cars.  With help from Hank’s Performance Products, Simpson, Wings Unlimited, Weld Wheels, DMI, Pro Shocks, Fuel Safe and Crane Cams.  Stay tuned to www.darynpittman.com for more news and updates from Florida Speedweek.
